SMART OPERATIONS SYSTEMS

Application-First Safety Consulting and System Integration.

SOS helps identify the operational problem, compare technologies, develop system logic and support implementation from pilot through deployment.

CONSULTING + INTEGRATION

From Hazard to Working System

Some applications need a single product. Others need multiple technologies and control logic working together.

01 · ASSESS

Understand the Risk

Review traffic, people, vehicles, visibility, operating behavior, equipment and existing controls.

02 · DESIGN

Develop the Concept

Create layouts, operating logic, warning sequences and recommended technology combinations.

03 · INTEGRATE

Connect the Technologies

Bring sensing, signals, projections, barriers, controls and vehicle systems into one response.

04 · IMPLEMENT

Pilot and Deploy

Support proof-of-concept systems, installation, commissioning, training and phased rollout.

05 · SUPPORT

Refine and Expand

Adjust the system as operations change and scale successful concepts to additional areas or sites.

Facility Safety Assessments

Traffic analysis, blind-spot review, pedestrian/vehicle conflict points, dock conditions and technology opportunities.

Technology Evaluation

Compare competing approaches and vendors based on the application instead of forcing a predetermined product.

System Design & Integration

Define device locations, sequence of operation, control logic, user interaction and integration requirements.

Pilots & Project Support

Validate the concept before large rollout and provide implementation support when the project moves forward.

PRACTICAL DELIVERABLES

What a Consulting Engagement Can Produce

The scope can be as focused as one difficult intersection or as broad as a facility-wide technology assessment.

FACILITY REVIEW

Risk and Traffic Observations

Document conflict points, blind areas, traffic patterns, existing controls and application priorities.

CONCEPT DESIGN

Recommended System Approach

Define device locations, technology categories, sequence of operation and integration requirements.

TECHNOLOGY REVIEW

Option Comparison

Compare sensing, warning, guidance and mobile equipment technologies against the actual operating need.

PILOT

Proof of Concept

Validate detection zones, warning behavior, operator response and control logic before a broader deployment.

IMPLEMENTATION

Project Support

Support equipment selection, coordination, installation planning, commissioning and turnover.

EXPANSION

Standardization

Turn a successful application into a repeatable approach for similar areas or additional facilities.

CONSULTING FAQ

Start as Small or as Broad as Needed

Can SOS review a problem without a full facility assessment?

Yes. A focused application can start with photos, video, a drawing and a description of the operating problem. A site assessment becomes more useful when several areas or interacting traffic patterns need to be evaluated together.

Will SOS recommend only one technology brand?

The goal is to fit the technology to the application. Different projects may call for different sensing, warning, projection, proximity or control technologies.

Can consulting include a pilot?

Yes. Pilot systems are often useful when a customer wants to validate performance, behavior and acceptance before scaling.

The Right Technology for the Application.

SOS is intentionally technology-flexible so the recommendation can fit the application instead of the other way around.
